Katie Lynch’s performance two years ago at the Faramarz Gallery was so enthusiastically received that the Friends resolved to invite her to the new Library. Listeners may expect to hear selections both centuries-old and “modern,” familiar or new-to-the-ear, from different countries or musical traditions, and from little-known as well as famous composers. Katie offers commentary to increase appreciation of each composition.

Katie Lynch attended The Boston Conservatory where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in harp performance and a Master of Music in harp performance and music education.

She has performed regularly at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and at special events at the Ritz Carlton and Omni Parker House. In addition to solo performance, she has performed in ensemble with vocalists as well as with other instruments, at Massachusetts General Hospital with the ensemble Gentle Muses, and in larger ensembles like the College Light Opera Company and the Metrowest Symphony.
