In a panel discussion, several authors contributing to the forthcoming book Spahn, Sain, and Teddy Ballgame: Boston’s (almost) Perfect Baseball Summer of 1948, will revisit how, back in the day when Boston was home to two professional baseball teams, the National League Boston Braves and the American League Boston Red Sox almost played each other in the 1948 World Series. Reflecting their love of baseball, the contributing authors compiled biographies of all 72 Red Sox and Braves players and numerous other essays.

The forthcoming book is to be published in August, 2008 by Rounder Books, the book division of Rounder Records. The authors/panelists are members of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR).
