On Saturday, December 8, 2007, we will hold a special book
sale from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This sale will include mass
market paperbacks, fiction and nonfiction trade paperbacks,
hardcover fiction, and children's books. There will also be a
large selection of videos and audio cassettes. About 3,000
items will be on sale. All items will be 50¢.

Just a week before Veterans’ Day, Friends of the
Library brings The Battlefield Guide, a Civil
War-themed program with contemporary relevance, to the
Community Room. The presentation combines traditional
and newly composed acoustic music and song with the
spoken word from the poetry of Rodger Martin’s
long poems, “Gettysburg” and
“Antietam.”

“Meet Eleanor Roosevelt: Wife, Mother and First
Lady,” is an historical portrait in the format
of a lecture tour. The one-woman show, directed by
Josephine Lane of Brookline, MA, and performed by
Elena Dodd of Boston, MA, is co-authored by Lane and
Dodd.

2007, we will hold our 35th annual fall book sale.
This sale will include individually-priced books as
well as hardcovers, trade paperbacks, and mass-market
paperbacks. Sunday will be Bargain
Day—everything will be half-price.

sale from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This sale will include
paperbacks of all kinds, hardcover fiction books, and books
for children and young adults. There will be about 5,000 items
for sale. All items will be 50¢.
